Rare to find such a lovely set of vintage poison glass bottles, dating back to early 1900s. The rich green glass has the classic raised hobnail pattern along with "NOT TO BE TAKEN" imprinted down the side of each bottle. A century ago not everyone could read and lighting was often just by candles, so manufacturers needed a way to show that the contents of their bottles were dangerous if consumed, so the sense of touch came into play! Every aspect of these beautiful bottles was about safety.
There are 5 bottles in total, all in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. These are hghly collectable and look amazing in bathrooms and contemporary kitchens.
