A great opportunity to buy an original French shop sign light for the Continental Edison Company. The light is in great condition with some marks and minor scratches in line with its age. The "C" and the "E" are raised giving a 3D effect and the light is powered by an LED tube, giving a lovely uniform glow. Re-wired for domestic use with a dark red vintage style twisted fabric cable. The light also come with original metal chain for hanging.

Continental Edison was founded in 1882 by Thomas Edison (father of the incandescent light bulb), a company that was always committed to technoligical innovation. This lovely sign light has great graphic and fonts, reminiscent of 1960s adveritising. The sign would have hung in a retail outlet selling Edison products. This vintage industrial light would look great in any home, giving a splash of colour and character.
